Project Overview
YT Marine manufactured CY600 cylindrical rubber fenders for an Indonesia tugboat project.
This project was prepared for two ships. The cylindrical fenders were used for tugboat bow protection, where strong impact absorption and durable rubber performance are required.
Size
For one ship, the fender set included 2 pcs of OD600 × L4 m cylindrical fenders and 1 pc of OD600 × L6 m cylindrical fender.
The order was prepared for two ships in total.
The fenders also included two end inserts, size OD300 × ID150 × 300L, and two connection inserts, size OD300 × ID150 × L1000.
Cylindrical Fender Production Drawing
Before production, we prepared the cylindrical fender drawing to confirm the fender size, insert position and connection details.
Drawing confirmation helps both sides check the overall length, insert dimensions and installation structure before production.

Application
These cylindrical rubber fenders were used for the head of the tugboat.
For tugboat fendering systems, cylindrical fenders are commonly used together with other rubber fenders according to the vessel shape and impact area.
Besides tugboat cylindrical fenders, this type of ship may also use W fenders and D fenders for different protection positions.
Pictures After Production
Below are project photos of the CY600 cylindrical fenders after production.
The photos show the finished fender body, rubber surface and insert positions prepared for this Indonesia tugboat project.

Insert Position
The end insert was installed at one end of the 4 m cylindrical fender.
The connection insert was installed at the other end of the 4 m cylindrical fender. This connection insert is used to connect the cylindrical fender sections according to the tugboat fender arrangement.
The insert design should be confirmed according to the drawing and installation requirements before production.

Packing
For this project, the cylindrical fenders were wrapped with plastic film to protect the rubber surface during handling and transportation.
Because these fenders are used as heavy-duty tugboat bumper fenders, no extra wooden case protection was required for the rubber body.

Container Loading
The total cargo weight was about 10 tons.
Although the weight was suitable for a 20′ container, the maximum fender length was 6 m. A standard 20′ container has an internal length of about 5.8–5.9 m, so it was not suitable for loading the 6 m fender.
LCL shipment was also an option, but the destination port pick-up cost can be high for this type of large cargo.
Finally, the client selected FCL shipment for this order.
Below are container loading photos of the cylindrical rubber fenders prepared for export.
