Cylindrical Rubber Fenders and Galvanized Installation Accessories for Singapore Customer
The project included two sizes of cylindrical rubber fenders, together with Q235 galvanized chain links, dee shackles with bolt, lock and nuts, and central support bars used for fender mounting and connection.
A long-term customer from Singapore placed a new order for cylindrical rubber fenders and galvanized installation accessories for marine fender installation. This was not a single product order, but a complete set of rubber fenders, chain links, dee shackles and central support bars manufactured according to the customer’s required sizes and drawing.
For marine fender projects, rubber fenders are only one part of the system. The installation accessories are also important because they affect how the fender is fixed, supported and connected during long-term use.
Customer Requirement
The customer required a complete set of cylindrical fenders and related galvanized accessories for installation.
The main products included:
- Cylindrical rubber fender OD530 × ID250 × 1000mmL
- Cylindrical rubber fender OD300 × ID150 × 800mmL
- Q235 galvanized chain links
- Dee shackles with bolt, lock and nuts
- Central support bars with chain shackles and chain links
- Customized production according to the customer’s drawing
- Shipment to Singapore
This order was arranged for a returning customer, so the communication focused mainly on confirming sizes, quantities, drawing details, galvanized accessories and packing before shipment.
Cylindrical Rubber Fenders Supplied
The cylindrical rubber fender is a simple and widely used marine fender type. It can be installed on docks, quay walls, workboats, pontoons, barges and different marine structures.
For this Singapore project, we produced two cylindrical fender sizes:
- OD530 × ID250 × 1000mmL
- OD300 × ID150 × 800mmL
The larger size was supplied for heavier contact areas, while the smaller size was prepared for lighter-duty or different installation positions. Using different fender sizes in one project helps the customer match different working areas with suitable rubber fender protection.
Cylindrical rubber fenders are commonly selected because they are easy to install, practical for many berthing conditions and suitable for both new projects and replacement needs.

Galvanized Chain Links and Dee Shackles
In addition to rubber fenders, this project also included several sizes of Q235 galvanized chain links and dee shackles.
The order included galvanized chain links in different sizes, as well as dee shackles with bolt, lock and nuts. These accessories are used to connect and secure the fender system during installation.
For marine applications, galvanized accessories are often used because they provide better surface protection for outdoor and marine environments. Although rubber fenders absorb impact, the chain and shackle system helps keep the fender in the correct position and reduces movement during operation.
These accessories were packed together with the support bars to make installation easier for the customer after delivery.
The customer’s order included:
- Q235 galvanized chain links
- Dee shackles with bolt
- Lock and nuts
- Different diameters and lengths according to project requirement
These accessories were packed together with the support bars to make installation easier for the customer after delivery.

Customized Central Support Bars
The project also required central support bars for the cylindrical rubber fenders. These support bars were designed according to the customer’s drawing and produced with Q235 material and galvanized surface treatment.
The central support bars help support the cylindrical fender structure and work together with the chain links and shackles during installation.
Two bar sizes were included in this order:
- Bar size: dia.38mm × 1212mmL
- Bar size: dia.30mm × 1020mmL
Each central support bar was prepared to match the required fender size and chain connection. Correct bar diameter and length are important because the support bar must fit the inner diameter of the rubber fender and align with the installation accessories.
Before production, we checked the drawing details carefully to make sure the fender size, support bar size, chain length and shackle connection could work together.
Manufacturing and Packing
After production, the cylindrical rubber fenders were stacked and strapped on wooden pallets. The galvanized chain links, shackles and central support bars were packed in wooden cases for better protection during sea shipment.
The packing method was arranged according to the product shape and weight:
- Cylindrical rubber fenders were packed on wooden pallets
- Chain links and shackles were packed in wooden cases
- Central support bars were placed together with related accessories
- Products were checked before packing and shipment
For marine fender projects, proper packing is important because rubber fenders are heavy and metal accessories may damage the surface if they are not packed correctly. Separating rubber fenders and galvanized accessories helps reduce friction and makes unloading easier for the customer.

Why Installation Accessories Matter in Marine Fender Projects
Many customers focus only on the rubber fender itself, but in real marine projects, the installation accessories are also very important.
A complete fender installation may include:
- Rubber fender body
- Chain links
- Shackles
- Bolts, nuts and locks
- Support bars
- Steel brackets or fixing plates
- Other customized hardware
If the accessory size is not correct, the fender may be difficult to install or may not perform as expected. That is why drawings, dimensions and installation method should be checked before production.
At YT Marine Fender, we can manufacture rubber fenders and provide related accessories according to drawings or project requirements. This helps customers reduce coordination work and receive more complete installation-ready components.
