What Are D Rubber Fenders?
D rubber fenders are molded rubber fenders with a D-shaped outer profile. They are widely used for docks, vessels, workboats, tugboats and marine structures where simple and durable side protection is required.
This type of fender can absorb impact during berthing or contact and helps protect the vessel or dock structure from direct collision damage.
D Rubber Fender Performance
The performance of a D rubber fender depends on its size, rubber material, compression ratio and installation method.
For project selection, buyers usually need to consider energy absorption, reaction force, available installation space and the contact area between the fender and the vessel or dock.
Before production, drawings and specifications can be checked to confirm whether the selected fender size is suitable for the project.
D Rubber Fender Hole Types
There are three common hole types for D rubber fenders: D-shaped hole, round hole and solid type without inner hole.
A D-shaped hole or round hole can help reduce weight and support installation requirements, while a solid D fender provides a stronger rubber body for certain applications.
The hole type should be selected according to the mold, installation method and project requirements.
Project Overview
YT Marine manufactured one D rubber fender for a repeat client in Singapore.
This was not our first cooperation with this client. We had already built a stable business relationship through previous marine product orders.
Fender Specification
The fender size for this project was D500 × 500 × 1500 mm.
The order quantity was 1 pc.
Before production, we prepared the drawing and sent it to the client for checking. After the drawing was confirmed, we arranged production according to the approved specification.
Delivery Arrangement
After production was finished, we delivered the D rubber fender to a location near Shanghai Port.
The client then arranged pickup and transported the fender to their own place according to their project schedule.
